1. One of the best buildings in Salt Lake City. The Walker Building is an old weather tower that was opened December 9, 1912. At the time of its completion, it stood as the tallest building between Chicago and San Francisco. The tower alone is 64-foot tall, and currently serves as a weather tower. If you have ever wondered what the colors mean here they are.

    • blue: clear skies
    • flashing blue: cloudy skies
    • red: rain
    • flashing red: snow

  2. The beautiful Eagle Gate on State Street in Salt Lake City is terrific. It was built buy Brigham Young.

  3. I know my blog says that my pictures are all going to be black and white, but this one just looked better with a little color. The Eagle Gate downtown was constructed by Brigham Young.

  4. I like the detail on this picture. That is basically the only reason i put it up. I don’t want it to come across to “hipsterish” But, you get the idea.

  5. Here is my favorite from all the pics i took today. I love this angle and was happy with the result of this picture. I love the Utah State Capitol. It is so beautiful.

  6. I’ve  been a little sick, so getting into the city was harder than I thought. Also, my car has been buried by all the snow plows. I decided to make the capitol my subject this week because A: its across the street, and B: it’s totally beautiful.

  7. Walking down from State street.
